Limited Edition Print Fund-Raiser 2010

Limited Edition Print Fund-Raiser 2010

Local pastel artist Rebecca Booth came to us with a fund-raising idea that we think is a win/win for us all!  She's created a number of limited edition prints for the Toledo Area Humane Society to use as a unique fund-raiser. She has agreed to allow us to sell 50 prints of each of the paintings below for $35 each.  The price includes a $25 donation to the Humane Society and the remaining $10 will cover costs for printing, shipping and handling, along with sales tax on the $10. Each print is a standard paper size and is printed on a high quality felt-finished paper.

Join us on Saturday, July 31, as the Toledo Area Humane Society kicks off this Fund-Raiser at Laura's Framing Place, Parkway Plaza, Maumee Ohio.  The event takes place from 10 am-4 pm. We'll have some of the furry friends from the Toledo Area Humane Society for a meet and greet on site from Noon-4 pm in front of Laura's shop.  Hope to see you there!

Bookmark this page. Rebecca promised to update her offerings each month! FYI, if you're interested in purchasing the original prints, contact Rebecca directly at  419.855.3399  419.855.3399 .  Rebecca will accept commissions for paintings of your pet.

Meet the Artist: Rebecca Booth
Since she was a toddler, Rebecca has always loved art.  Whether is was cut paper, chalk, crayons, pencils, paints, inks, Rebecca has always been drawn to express the beauty she sees around her.  In the early 1990s Rebecca discovered pastel painting.  The vivacious colors are what initially intrigued her, but the "Pig Pen" character in her gravitated to the medium because it gave her a "safe" excuse to get dirty!

In case you don't know, pastels are different than oil and acrylic paints because they don't have any extenders/oils to make the paint move with a brush.  Instead, the pure pigment is formed into chunks of color which you apply with your hands, much like drawing.

By day, Rebecca is a marketing goddess for her own graphic design and marketing firm, Imagine That!  When she's not helping people save money on their marketing efforts she can be found in her home art studio - either making paintings or creating one-of-a-kind fused glass jewelry.
