Volunteer Areas
Volunteers at the Toledo Area Humane Society are utilized in a variety of ways. We rely on volunteers to help imporve the quality of life for the animals during their stay at our facility. There are many areas in which you can help make a difference... take a peek!
![]() Animal Care Volunteers Help provide a clean environment for the animals as well as feeding, bathing and general maintenance of our facility. All volunteers begin service in this area.
Dog Walker Volunteers
Responsible for exercising the dogs in all type of weather, making sure each one is given the appropriate socialization and stimulation as well as maintaining clean kennels.
![]() Cat Cuddler Volunteers
Important hands-on socialization and evaluation of the many cats housed in our cageless rooms. Also responsible for keeping litter boxes clean.
![]() Special Events Volunteers
Help out with fundraising efforts and public relations events. Help us raise important funds needed to care for the thousands of animals that come to TAHS for help.
![]() Foster Care Volunteers
Provide in-home care fro animals who cannot be adopted immediately due to special needs such as illness, injury or too young to survive without proper care and nurturing.
