Nail Trimming & Microchipping

Nail Trimming Clinic

The Toledo Area Humane Society operates a nail trimming clinic every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  This is a walk-in clinic so there is no need to schedule an appointment.  The cost of the trim is $10.00 per animal and is open to all friendly dogs, cats, pocket pets and reptiles.  All proceeds from the clinic benefit the animals of the Toledo Area Humane Society. 

Microchipping

Microchipping is available by appointment Tuesday - Sunday from 11:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.  The cost of a microchip is $25.00 and includes the activation of the microchip through Home Again.  A microchip is a permanent ID tag that your pet will never lose.  The microchip itself has no internal energy source, so it will last the life of your pet.  The chip is read by passing a microchip scanner over the shoulder blades of your pet.  The scanner emits a low radio frequency that can detect the unique code from the chip implanted in your pet.  Having your pet microchipped will increase the chances of reuniting you with your lost pet.
